  • JDS publishes original research analysis and inquiry into issues in distribution. JDS is an international peer-reviewed journal, which is devoted to contemporary issues of distribution, logistics and SCM, transportation, distribution channel management, distribution innovation and information technology, merchandizing and supply, marketing and consumer behavior, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail in the world. JDS publishes monthly in both English and Korean. The aim of JDS is to bring together the latest theoretical and empirical distribution research in the world, and the journal welcomes scholarly/research articles from researchers, practitioners, and scholars throughout the world.

    The Journal of Distribution Science (JDS)


    Journal of Distribution Science (JDS) was founded and published its first series of research articles in 1999. Since then, JDS continuously published research articles in the field of distribution and from 2010, focused strictly on quality and quantity to improve content and to increase the number of published research papers in order to become a world reputable scholarly journal. In 2015, JDS published more than 200 research articles and produced 12,000 copies of publications, both of which were the largest numbers in the field of social sciences in Korea. JDS is one of several journals currently published by Korean Distribution Science Association (KODISA), the highest number of journals publish by a scholarly community/association in Korea.  JDS is currently indexed in SCOPUS. 

     

     

    The following factors contributed to the success of JDS:


    1. JDS broadened its readership by bringing both economics and business field together  to explore contemporary distribution issues. 

     

    2. JDS publishes both Korean and English papers monthly to attract both domestic and  foreign scholars. 

     

    3. All published articles are accessible to readers through its home page. 

     

    4. JDS uses online submission and peer-review (double-blind) system to expedite the   publication process evaluation process. 

     

    5. JDS does not charge article processing and publication fees for foreign scholars. 

     

    6. JDS uses native speakers to conduct final proofreading prior to publication. 

     

    Types of Paper 

     

    Regular Article: This should describe new and/or carefully investigated findings, and research methods should be given in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. Articles should be 5,000 - 7,000 words long to describe and interpret the work clearly. All regular research articles are peer-reviewed by minimum 3 referees.

    Short Communication: This short communication is suitable for reporting the results of small investigations or giving details of new models, innovative methods or techniques. The style of main sections doesn’t need to conform to that of full-length papers. Short communications should be usually 2,000 - 4,000 words long. Short communication articles are also peer-reviewed.  

    Review and Perspective: Submissions of review and perspective covering topics of current interest are welcome and encouraged. Review articles should be concise, usually 2,000 - 4,000 words long. Review articles

     

    Fees and Charges of Publication(JDS):  600,000 won

    (JAFEB: 600,000 won, EAJBM & IJIDB : FREE" But it is required for the foreign authors to pay a publication fee who belong to all of the universities in Korea (300,000 won).

     

    Open Access Policy 

    The journal will permit the author to use the article elsewhere after publication, including posting the final post-acceptance manuscript version on the author’s personal web pages or in an institutional repository maintained by the institution to which the author is affiliated, in other works or for the purposes of the author’s teaching and research, provided acknowledgement is given to the Journal as the original source of the publication.

    This license was developed to facilitate open access – namely, free immediate access to, and unrestricted reuse of, original works of all types.
